What you're getting

The Shiba Inu was originally bred to flush birds and small game, with the occasional wild boar hunt thrown in. He's one of Japan's six native breeds—alongside the Akita, Kishu, Hokkaido, Kai, and Shikoku—and the smallest of the lot. You'll spot him by his spirited personality, those small upright ears, and a cat-like agility that's honestly a bit cheeky. These days he's mainly a companion dog in Japan and the United States, which suits his temperament down to the ground.
