What you're getting

This wooden pulley kit lets your child build their own working system and see the wheel turn. At 20cm, it's compact enough for a desk or classroom table, and comes with wooden pieces, metal rods, a pulley wheel, stoppers, and wool to get them started.

They'll assemble it themselves—which is half the point—and you'll get easy-to-follow instructions to help if needed. You might need to dig out some glue from the cupboard, as it's not included. It's a straightforward way to see forces and motion in action without any faffing about.
