The squirrel, a small rodent mammal of the sciuridae family, is easily recognized by its coat ranging from light red to black-brown, its white belly, its brushes at the tips of the ears and its long plumed tail. Rather lonely in nature, the latter spends most of his time near the woods and in the forests harvesting food which he will then hide in the trunks of trees.
