You've got eight sliding whistles here in assorted colours, and they're proper fun if you don't mind a bit of noise. Stick them in party bags, or hand them round a group of kids and let them loose — the interactive chaos is half the charm. To get a sound out of one, put the flat mouthpiece to your lips and slide the handle up and down while you're blowing. It takes a second to get the hang of it, but once they do, they'll be making sound effects to go with stories, songs, whatever. Fair warning: you might want to join in yourself, or at least be prepared for the volume.
