Your kids will get proper mileage out of this wooden swing set, year after year. It's built from FSC certified, pressure treated round pole timber – the sort of stuff that actually stands up to British weather. The top bar's 100mm diameter and the legs are 80mm, so the frame's genuinely robust. There are wooden cross braces too, which means it won't wobble about.

The swing itself has soft feel ropes and a heavy duty blow moulded seat that'll take a battering. Metal attachments grip the pole without any drilling needed, which keeps the timber strong and intact. You get a 5 year manufacturer's warranty against wood rot and insect damage, which tells you something about the build quality.

It comes flat packed and takes two adults roughly 2 hours to put together. All the hardware's included – ground anchors and the lot – so you can concrete it in properly. Just make sure you've got about 2m of clear space around it. Maximum user weight is 50kg, and you'll need to allow roughly L120 x W229 x H220cm for the footprint.
