What you're getting
Mountain View Train Set by Tender Leaf Toys is a proper wooden train set that's nothing like the basic toys you remember. You get 58 pieces of track so you can rebuild your layout whenever the mood takes you, and three distinct landscapes to explore: Industrial, Town, and Holiday.
The Industrial area comes with a lifting road bridge, chimney stacks with felt smoke, a train shed, factory buildings, a container ship with magnetised blocks, and a crane with a working lifting mechanism. Your train has two carriages and can carry more containers.
The Town section has contemporary city buildings, a car ferry with a yellow car, fuel and container lorries, a crane vehicle, and a longer engine with three carriages designed to hold coal, logs, and cement.
Holiday mode gives you elevating mountain passes, a mountain bridge, waterfall area, cattle grid, wind turbines, a small sailboat, a red car and caravan, tents, fir trees, a passenger train with two carriages, and a grizzly bear for good measure.
You can expand further with the Blue Water or Green Hills stackers to add more camping scenes to your set. There's also the option to print out and make additional pieces yourself.
