Peacocks aren't the only birds showing off their tail feathers to impress the ladies. Come spring, male turkeys are out there trying to charm as many females as they can. These Tom Turkeys—sometimes called Golers—puff themselves up and fan out their tail feathers like peacocks do, then strut about grunting and making that distinctive "gole gole" sound while shaking everything they've got. It's all part of the mating display, and it works: the hens notice.
