What you're getting
Help your child get to grips with how they're feeling using this beautifully illustrated game from Janod. It works like this: you flip over a situation card showing everyday moments, and on the back there's a face showing the emotion that goes with it. Your job is to use the magnets to build that same expression on the wooden board.
There are 10 emotions to explore: joy, fear, sadness, anger, embarrassment and shyness, love, disgust, laughter, jealousy, and surprise. It's proper social emotional learning, the kind that actually sticks because your child's doing it rather than just being told about it.
The box includes a mirror at the bottom so they can have a go at pulling the same faces themselves — which is where the real learning happens, honestly. You get a wooden board, 27 large magnets (10 faces, 10 smileys, and 7 outfit pieces), and 20 situation cards to work through.
