This is a long-necked, hoofed mammal you'll find grazing across the open woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa. It's the tallest living animal on land, which is rather impressive given that its closest relative is the much smaller and solitary Okapi, tucked away in dense tropical forests.

There are nine recognised sub-species dotted across different geographic locations, each with their own variation in spot-like markings and colouring.
