What you're getting
Your kids will get a real kick out of making these. You fold out a flat template, cut coloured cellophane sheets to size and stick them behind the pre-cut apertures in the base, then slot it all together into a proper 3-D lantern. The light shines through the cellophane and you get this lovely reflective, colourful effect that actually looks quite striking when it's hung up.
Each pack contains four lanterns in six assorted cellophane colours — Green, Yellow, Blue, Red, Pink and Purple — so there's plenty of scope for different designs. It's a satisfying bit of making: snipping, sticking, designing, folding. The kind of thing that keeps them occupied for a decent stretch and leaves you with something worth displaying afterwards.
