What you're getting
A winged horse from Greek mythology, Pegasus was supposedly born from the blood that spurted from Medusa's neck when the hero Perseus killed her. Legend has it he was the offspring of the sea god Poseidon and the Gorgon Medusa. He served Perseus until his death, then went to live with the Muses, whose source of inspiration had dried up. A stamp of his hoof created a spring to restore their waters.
