Right, here's something a bit different. You get four baubles that your kids can decorate however they fancy — chalkboard surface means they can draw snowflakes, squiggles, abstract patterns, whatever takes their fancy. It's a proper way to let them make Christmas decorations that are actually theirs, not mass-produced tat that looks like everyone else's. Once they've finished, hang them on the tree or thread them into a garland. Dead simple, and it keeps them occupied for a good while.
